Chapter 3: The Morning AfterChapter 3: The Morning After Morning rolled around and I awoke to the smell of fried bacon and the sounds of soft conversation. As my sleep fogged brain began to awaken I noticed that Lily’s futon was empty and the bedding was folded up in preparation for storage. As I stood and began maneuvering my way to the door I attempted to distinguish the voices that were barely audible through the wall. I was able to make a massive mental leap when I realized that since Lily’s bed was empty that meant that the distinctly female voice most likely belonged to her.
